"Leadership Detroit" Graduation... Three Years in the Making!

After a nearly three year wait, my Leadership Detroit cohort finally got to celebrate our graduation last week! We set off on this journey together in 2019 to be better leaders, better contributors to our community, and better people. We had tough conversations about challenges in this region and grew together. Then the pandemic came, our coursework changed, and our curriculum came eventually came to an end without any fan fare. I was excited to see everyone for the first time in a long time. I was so surprised how many people asked me about the book, had told me they had read it, and actually wanted to talk about the content. It reminded me of what makes LD special—we’ve been through some shit together and now we’re connected. I know I am a better person because of LD and this group of people. Congrats to Leadership Detroit Class XLI, the best and longest class ever!
